The
Draculia Vampire Trilogy: Dark, passionate stories of love and
redemption... The men and women of the Vampire Dracule are tied to
Lucifer for eternity. In exchange, the Dracule are given immortality and
power...and a guilt-free life of pleasure, wealth, and freedom.
No one
can touch them.
No man can control them.
No mortal can destroy
them...unless they find love.
But Lucifer will not release those who are
bound to him without a fight. In a battle of good versus evil, love
versus hate, only the strongest souls can win freedom from the devil.
Lucifer's Saint For decades, Dimitri has denied himself the most basic of pleasures in his attempt to free himself from Lucifer's grip.
He disdains women, entertainment, and all but the most basic of sustenance in an effort to break his covenant with the devil.
But when he becomes the guardian for two young women-including the beautiful, maddening, and stubborn Maia Woodmore - his life is disrupted and he's forced to face the emptiness from centuries of solitude.
Maia is no fool, and she alone is strong-willed enough to tame the beast Dimitri has become...and to show him love is the most important risk of all. But when the most potent of danger strikes, can Dimitri put aside his own stubbornness to find love...even at the risk of his own soul?
Review:
I absolutely LOVE the way this book starts out.
It's not very often that you get the chance to read the same scene from different character perspectives. In Lucifer's Saint, the first half of the book follows the same story as it's predecessor, Lucifer's Rogue, only from Dimitri and Maia's point of view. It fills in more of the missing story and explains what happened when Voss and Angelia were not around, which in turn created a much bigger picture! I found myself stopping and thinking back, so that's why she was so angry when... or that explains the look they exchanged...
Around the halfway mark ends the storyline from the first book and begins it's own unique story. Angelica and Maia both planning their weddings, their brother off to help Narcise, and of course Dimitri, or rather the always ill-tempered Earl of Corvindale, was well, ill-tempered.
It wasn't until a face from his past reappeared that he started the realize his carefully constructed armor was beginning to crack.
As always, Colleen packed in the sarcasm and action, creating another page turner!
